Safeguarding

Carrington Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its pupils and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The safety and wellbeing of all of the children is everyone’s responsibility.

Designated Professional Safeguarding Leads

THE DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEADS (DSL) are members of staff designated to take lead responsibility for dealing with safeguarding issues. The role of the DSL for Child Protection is to take responsibility for dealing with child protection issues, provide advice and support to other staff, liaising with the local authority and working with other agencies to ensure all children at our school are safe.

The Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead (SDSL) is Mr Digges.

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSLs) are Mrs Swankie and Miss Crisp.

The school’s safeguarding governor is Louise Broadbent.
