Helping your child at home

At Carrington Primary School we believe in a partnership between school, children and parents, and we welcome your support with your child’s learning.

In Key Stage Two children will be given the following homework; spellings, times tables to practise, talk homework and an expectation that they read with a parent / carer three times a week . Here is a link to the importance of reading at home

In Foundation Stage and Key Stage One, children bring home a Phonics book to practise and a book of their choice. The link below will take you to the parents’ area of the ‘Little Wandle: Letters and Sounds Revised’ website. There is information about how to support your child with the books they bring home and information about how they are being taught Phonics.
