Welcome to Class One!
This term our topic is This is Me. We will be doing lots of science about human body parts (this includes naming sexual parts) and work about ourselves, our families and where we live. Maths, English and phonics will be taught daily.
P.E. days are Tuesdays and Fridays.
We would like children to keep their reading books at home. Please bring them to school on Fridays only and we will change them.
Each week there will be a talk homework activity for you to do with your child.
Please remind children not to bring in toys from home at the moment.
Lots of learning will be happening outside this term so, even if it seems warm, please send your child with a coat every day.
Water is always available to the children and we keep a stack of clean cups for them to use. If you would like them to bring in their own water bottle please name it clearly. Fruit is also offered to the children each morning break. Children can order milk to have each morning. Please contact the school office if you would like help with this.
Whilst we are working hard to make the transition between Foundation and Year One a smooth one we recognise that it is a change of gear for the children. Please talk to us or send a message on Class Dojo if you feel you have any concerns.
